The great load-bearing capacity of our steel grid resistors is a persuasive argument.
They are manufactured using resistor elements made of high-alloy, heat-resistant metal panels. Slits are machined on both sides, which create a meander-shaped current path. The resistance value is determined by the width of the rail.
The elements are reinforced with stainless steel bars, underlaid with micanite strips, on both elongated sides. Up to 40 resistor elements can be installed as required on support bolts which are insulated with mica pipes. Adjacent elements are insulated from one another via ceramic sleeves, and the current is passed on through stainless steel rolls.
As a result of the great energy absorption capacity of the steel grid resistors and their pulse resistance, they are used in applications such as:
- Braking, load and starting resistors for electric drives
- Load and testing resistors
- Grounding resistors
- Or damping resistors
For protection classes from IP 00 to IP 23, this type of product is well equipped for continuous and intermittent operation, which is essential in the following industries:
- Cranes and hoists
- Renewable energy
- And electricity grids
